Dover Baptist Temple

The William Estes Memorial Library and Technology Center
A place to be...and to become ... an outreach of the Dover Baptist Temple
Our Library is a memorial to Rev. William Estes, who served as Pastor of the Dover Baptist Temple faithfully for over 30 years. Rev. William Estes had a desire to reach out into the community and help young and old alike come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. He also had a desire to provide resources for people in church to grow in their faith.
Our library began with the donation of a set of Dr. Oliver B. Green commentaries and assorted other volumes by Rev. & Mrs. Estes and was added to by members and friends of the church.
Today, we carry on this labor of love as a continued legacy of faithful ministry to our church and to our community.
A Vision of Education
A wise proverb once stated that "if you give a man a fish, you can feed him for a day. But if you teach him how to fish you can feed him for a lifetime." This concept of educating others is the heart beat of the William Estes Memorial Library and Technology Center. We are working to create a world class library and technology center to help people of all ages to learn and to grow in their personal relationship with Christ.

We currently have over 1.600 volumes and are growing daily.
A Vision of Concern
With so many Christian resources on the market it is easy to be overwhelmed as you wade though the good, and bad and the utterly ridiculous resources that claim to be Christian. That is where we can help. Our library provides a wide specturm of Christian books and study helps to assist you as you grow in Christ. Whether you are looking for help understanding a difficult passage, looking for advice with the many problems of life, or just looking for a good read, we can help. In addition, with the recent addition of a computer system, our library is able to offer access to world computerized resources, including Bible study software, internet access, and Microsoft Office. A Vision of Service As you consider the ministries you would like to serve in, remember the library needs your help. We need people who will volunteer to staff our library, process books, help with the computer and eventually maybe provide tutoring for students and adults. The possibilities are endless with you working together with us.
