 24/7 Ministry, The Student Ministry of the Dover Baptist Temple God is Doing Great ThingsSince the start of 2011 God has begun to blow the doors off our student ministry! During this time, we have seen three of our youth begin a new personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have seen our class grow to over 16. On January 2nd we set some attendance goals for our class. The first goal we set was for a regular attendance of 20 and in two months time we have almost reached that goal. We are also seeing other growth in our group, as we are seeing our fellow students beginning to memorize scripture, read their Bibles and beginning to pray for the salvation of their friends and family. God is doing great things!!!! We Need Workers We need workers who would volunteer to help with our class. We need drivers for activities, we need adults who will be part of our class as care leaders, and we need to pray for God to provide a permanent youth leader to ease the burden on Pastor Chris. We Need Mentors You were once where we are, and we need to learn from you. We need to learn how to be godly men and women from people who have are honest enough to admit that they still struggle. We don't need another lecture about the good old days or fake piousness, but genuine Christians who will help us grow in our faith. BTW, you don't need to be perfect just honest, willing to listen and then lead by example. |
We Need Money We realize that you are not made of money, even though sometimes it seems like we do. But, the truth is we need money to do some of the activities Pastor Chris has planned for us, and we have friends we would like to invite who sometimes come from families with money issues. We would really appreciate it if you would be generous with your contributions when we do our fundraisers and we promise you two things, first, we will use the money to help us grow in Christ and second, someday when we are your age we will do the same thing for the youth in our church. Pray We face pressures and temptations on a daily basis and desperately need the prayers of our older brothers and sisters in the Lord as we grow in the Lord.
